The Oscars red carpet in one word: White. Many people are wondering why the hell 95% of the ladies are donning white or creme colored gowns. This year has already bored the shit out of me due to the lack of coloration. But here’s a look at some of the fashion from tonight:
The annual Met Gala is my favorite event and the biggest fashion event of the year. This year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art honored designer, Charles James, known as ‘America’s first couturier.’ There were some beautiful looks this year, with a lot of people exuding the old school classiness that Charles James represents. Here’s a look at my choice of the best dressed ladies of the evening.
This year’s Met Gala had a theme that I especially loved and was super excited to see how everyone would interpret it. The theme of course was Punk: Chaos to Couture. Badass. One of the most common names circulating the red carpet were none other than Givenchy. Givenchy exudes that dark gothic chic style that totally fit in with the theme. And while some stars thrived with their punk-inspired couture, others either completely failed or just did not understand the theme itself. Here are a few of my favorites and some of the lamest.
Well, let me just say I was hoping to enjoy my short two days here in Portland, getting all my things and being able to relax in my own space, however I ended up having a pretty shit time. Reminded me why I left to begin with. Anyway, I leave today, thank god, so here’s a little brief overview of my time here…
Here you go bitches, for all you who are either too lazy to watch or give a shit about the VMA’s. I personally just like to see what all of these celebs wear…
More to come!
This fall Target will be collaborating with the amazing minds of Neiman Marcus, and not only that but 24 big name designers! Including Marchesa, Rag & Bone, Prabal Gurung (yayy!), Alice & Olivia, Marc Jacobs, and more! This is definitely an event I’m waking up early for to make it in time to buy EVERY piece. Save your money for these fine holiday designer treats.
So I was just informed that the insanely popular and amazing British company, Topshop has just set a deal with Seattle-based Nordstrom to carry their clothes at selective locations and online. I’m particularly excited because Topshop is one of my favorite stores, and it sucks that the only locations in America are thousands of miles away. I can’t wait, Topshop is the epitome of trendy and chic. Nordstrom will also be selling clothes from Topman, so even guys get some.
